Bill Gordon

Due to my schedule, I no longer have enough time to do a proper job presenting this page. I am attaching some notes that I made while emailing Bill's wife susan. I hope this will do for now.

Susan: I have been having very exhausting LONG days. I think that after these first three weeks, it has finally caught up with me! Sorry, but after driving back from Miami, all I can do is try to get some sleep. Bill is not in pain anymore. The only time that he takes anything for pain is when the dressings are changed on his leg. He will begin the skin grafts in a week or two. Then after about 10 days, he should be ready to move into a rehab hospital. He is in a very good frame of mind, and is determined to return to his active lifestyle.

Susan: They took a couple of trips up to DC to the DOT to do some studies of the tank with an engineer. I was surprised to hear that with 8 Luxfer tank explosions in Japan! I recently heard about two people who died from the explosions..one in Canada, and one in Mexico. My Husband and your Nephew were both very lucky! Bill is diving again (without a leg), and is doing great. He is learning to walk with his prosthetic leg, which just takes time.

Photos of Bill Gordon before the explosion that ripped off his leg.
